• When grocery shopping, stay on the outer edge of the store.  It contains the produce dept., meat dept., and dairy section. The only sections you need!
  • Don't eat anything from a box!! It is mostly processed junk food (crackers, cookies, etc).
  • Avoid white products (white bread, white rice, etc.). All of the nutrients have been processed out.  Stick with whole wheat products when posible.
  •  Still hungry?  Munch on:  raw veggies, applesauce, low-fat cereal, V8 juice.
  •  Did you know your body burns calories when you drink ICE water?  Your body can burn up to 500 calories a day trying to keep your body temperature up!
  •  Raw vegetables & fruit are high in enzymes that are lost in cooking, so when you can't get enough raw food, take enzyme supplements.  Juice plus food supplements are a great source of ensymes and fiber.
  • Your body absorbs more vitamins drinking skim milk than whole milk.
  • NEVER go more than three hours without eating something: rice cake, small apple, carrot, etc. . . (6 small meals will keep you feeling full all day).
  • NEVER use butter, margarine or oil when cooking.  Use Bumble & Brown only and use it sparingly!!  Use Pam when oil is required.
  • Try Stir Frying Veggies in:  1/2 cup Chicken Bouillon, 2 TB Soy Sauce & 1 TSP Ginger.
  • Try cutting your portions in half.  You'll be surprised how much less you need to eat to be satisfied.  Or try substituting either lunch or dinner with a protien bar or shake.
  • Do a mock Caesar Salad Dressing by combining: 1/2 cup non-fat Italian, 2 TB lemon juice, 1 TB Dijon Mustard and 2 TB Parmesan Cheese.
  • Ask yourself how many times have you started a diet & where would you be now if you had just stuck to one of them???
